Team University is a Private University licensed by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE), mandated to award Undergraduate Degrees (Bachelors), Post Graduate Degrees (Masters and PhDs), Post Graduate Diplomas, Vocational Courses and training for Professional qualifications.

Our History

Three Certified Public Accountants/founders in the names of Mr. Tushabomwe David, Mr. Balikuddembe Joseph Kigongo and Mr. Rugaba Sam Kindyomunda, started Team Business College(TBC) in 2001 majorly offering training in accounting professional courses especially ACCA, at that time renting space from Bat Valley Primary School.

They later moved to CAROL House(formerly NITCO House). An idea was conceived then of setting up a specialist University in 2006 using the experience acquired after establishing and operating TBC. A letter of interim Authority to set up and operate a private Specialists University under the name Team University (as provided for in section 96(i) of the universities and other Tertiary Institutions Act 2001 as amended) was granted on 18th December 2007.

In the process, Team University was born as the first private Degree awarding institution licensed by National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) in Uganda in October 2010, the Uganda Management Institute (UMI) being the only Public other Degree Awarding Institute.
